What is anger?
Anger is an emotional state associated with hostile thoughts and an increased heart rate, blood pressure, hormonal levels and adrenaline. It is typically triggered in response to the unwanted actions of another person. Anger is not expressed externally but remains an internal feeling.

An individual may want to seek anger management therapy if they express their anger aggressively and externally. This refers to intentional behaviors such as hitting another person for dominance and control.
